Better [Late] Than [N]ever

What a serendipitous and splendid weekend…
Saturday’s Boobie Bash, (an event to raise money for the YPC of Austin’s Komen Race for the Cure Team), was a huge success, both in the turnout, donations and my personal enjoyment.
I don’t win things very often, but with my raffle tickets (via donation), I won a one hour wine tasting for six and a haircut at TONI&GUY.
Later on, among some new friends, I missed a call from a number not in my contacts. After multiple missed attempts, I concluded it must be an emergency and left the festivities to answer it.
An ex-girlfriend felt compelled to call (sometime around midnight) and apologize, reminisce, clear some things up and update me on her life.
We talked for over an hour, during which, I accepted her sincere apology, updated her on my life and gave her a single piece of advice: work on your timing.*
As I fell asleep, part of me was content in knowing I must have made an impression and done something right, (even after all this time).
Too bad I no longer remember what it was, because *we dated ten years ago.
Nice guys: +1
